Meeting Space for Magna

Meeting Space provides an immersive experience for the User directly on the shop floor, by combining the spatial setting with embedded high-technology and just-in-time data visualization of all processes in a factory.


Creativity Space for Magna

"Creativity Space" should operate as an attractor - „brainstorm of ideas“ - a place where all workers and employees have a chance to submit their ideas, propose improvements or simply try out new technologies.

Social Space as multi-functional environments with coffee house flair and embedded technology.


Trust in your intuitions

When you are alone for days or weeks at a time, you eventually become drawn to people. Talking to randos is the norm. I’ll never forget the conversation with the aquarium fisherman, forest ranger, and women at the Thai market. It’s refreshing to compare notes on life with people from vastly different backgrounds.

City Lab – a mixed reality-based space module – is an instrument for creative networked collaboration, designed for world-wide usage. This modular environment is flexible due to an implemented innovative technology and a novel workflow. Enriched by mobile and virtual elements a broad spectrum of spatial settings is possible.

Design for European Roma Exhibition in Strasbourg. A wooden structure, a "3D line in space" based on L-System, creates the spatial setting for exhibition.


Tarnschriften

The subject of camouflaged writings is counted to the genre of “literature disguised”. This form is characterized by the fact that is intended to distract the unsuspecting one by the title page or an envelope or the cover of a publication from the actual, controversial explosive content. With such, mostly anonymously produced publications has been tried to get around bans and censorship and to prevent seizure. The exhibition attempts to approach this subject in addition to the core concept through different approaches.


F.U.T.U.R.

Good news: ORTLOS and FormInGrün won the PEPMAC competition in category "Air to Surface" with the project F.U.T.U.R. - from dust till urban regeneration. The scheme proposes urban surfaces as carrier for hydroponic living structures and provides holistic approach to the improvements of urban microclimate, reduction of particulate matter, natural cooling in sommer, CO2 binding, etc.

lighThing

The Lighthing is an art piece and light object at the same time. The object is a combination of traditional craftsmanship and digital rapid-prototyped production process. Used materials are: polymer surface, aluminium, stainless steel rods, and concrete plate. It’s striking form provides various light settings for different interiors.

Sensitive Space

“Sensitive Space” is a prototype for the space which goes beyond the imagination, and it is build utterly out of information: light, visual image and audio.


Big green splash

Main concept for office complex in Marghera is to design light ecological sustainable architecture for the formal heavy industrial area. The idea is to create “ecological craters” in the building mass, like if the surface would be penetrated by the water drops. Those interior courts provide fresh air circulation and optimal natural light situation for the adjacent spaces.


Centre for promotion of Science

The design embraces the networked approach on several levels. Conceptually, the networks are inevitable for thinking and working within science, as well as when thinking of a cross-disciplinary collaboration between the fields of science, technology and art.


Green Tower

This study for a tower building explores issues of energy-efficiency and green building for a high-riser. The central element of the building is a vertical garden, which acts as green filter providing the office spaces with fresh air and pleasant micro-climate.

Nursing Home for Elderly. The concept for the nursing home was to create a homely environment for the residents, which also did not require the nursing staff to walk excessive distances. Particular care has been taken to ensure that all the rooms are naturally ventilated and enjoy a good level of sunlight. The living areas for the residents face toward the park.

The Thing & The Wing

“The Thing and The Wing” symbolizes a state of mobility, distortion and flows, a certain mood and a programmatic openness and non-dogmatic definitions. Loose architecture made of steel and translucent polymorph surfaces and bodies temporarily captures one possible state of the flow simulation.

The project for the GrandEgyptianMuseum in Giza, Egypt attempts to present and visualize the country’s great history rather than to show the exhibits only. The image of our project is based on Network of Experience and Knowledge.
