
When you want to reach the main gate of the former Nazi concentration camp Sachsenhausen, you have to drive through an alley, lined with small family homes.
While inside the facility ten tousands of russsian prisoners of war were shot, hundreds of other prisoners were tortured in "scientific experiments" by perverted medics and many other humans died due to the exertion of compulsory labour, the locals outside lived their bucolic daily routine.
No-one had seen or heard something, when the war was over.
Nobody remembered.
